Hello, I’m Bob Roses.
I have lived in our district for 47 years. I came to Anchorage in 1965 when my father was stationed here and we lived on base. Three years later I married Bev Jelnek, a local girl. We moved into our home, which we built, and raised our family.
I am running for State Senate because I am concerned about our future.
Our best days are still ahead of us, but only if our legislature changes its course to a more responsible path. Alaska has a vast natural wealth, but our greatest resource is our people, their ideas, and work ethic. We need to create a climate that fosters opportunities for growth through responsible development and sound policies.
